Slipping Away

This year has slipped away so quickly. It's hard to imagine where all the time has gone, but gone it is. Another year lost, yet by no means a waste. I've accomplished a great deal on many fronts in the last twelve months, so there are no real complaints from me.
Last night I threw aside work to watch the 121212 concert on television. Wow! All of my favorite rock acts in one place on one occasion. The only talent missing - in my opinion - was Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard and Rush. Otherwise, it was a perfect lineup. Most of the groups came straight from my generation, so I knew all the songs and enjoyed every single minute of each performance. It was worth losing sleep over.
I recently finished an access management system for a client, and now I'm onto designing a web site for a political candidate upcoming in 2013. I'm not overly thrilled with the lack of writing time available to me at the moment - not to mention reading just for leisure - but I have to take care of the business in front of me. My main personal objective, as always, is to move to Maine even if it's the last thing I do on this earth.
My professional objectives take a back seat at various times, especially in the quest for long-held personal aims.
And time is most assuredly slipping away...
