Week Et Al
Posted Sat, 03/29/14
Last week was busy . . . a lot of my days were consumed with client web work, along with the release of a new cookbook. I had little spare time for fiction writing (re: Glinhaven), which I hope to rectify shortly.
Miscellaneous Goo: I had to take Kiki to the animal clinic. Poor little devil had a UTI, so it was antibiotics by dropper for almost ten days. She's all better now (knock on wood); back to her regal self and looking down her nose at me. She wasn't so bloody condescending when she was unwell, however. When I piled Kiki into her carrier for the trip to the doctor, I also took Rainee in the car so she wouldn't feel left out. What a ride!
Not Recommended: Last weekend, I endured a showing of The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo. I found the film dreadful. I kept watching in hopes of seeing something worthwhile, but it never happened. I couldn't wait for the movie to conclude. It was hideous, seeming to be without direction. I could be missing the point, but I wouldn't recommend the film. It was a complete waste of precious time.
Telly Bits: According to reports, CNN's ratings have jumped since they began covering news of Flight 370. I have to admit I listen to CNN during the day as I work, but if I want purely political news I switch to MSNBC.
And now on to next week . . .
