Spooks & Rain

Yesterday was the perfect day to stay in. We finally have rain, and it looks like real autumn outside. I am so glad the remains of the summer heat are gone.
I took the picture below from the front porch yesterday morning, depicting the autumn scene across the street. Click on the image to see larger size in a new window.
I spent the day reading (The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield), and making comfort food (homemade hash browns and a Denver Omelet).
Wilbert put up a few Halloween decorations on the front door. Now all we need is a pumpkin and bags of candy. Luckily, this year Wilbert has Halloween night off and won't have to try and sleep through knocks on the door and the barking chorus from Foofer and Rainee.
