Take a Number & Bugger-Off

I notice lack of customer service in almost all consumer aspects, but in particular at large department stores (you can never seem to find help when you need it, but if you do happen to catch someone's attention they act as if they could care less if they actually assist you); at the grocery store (less checkers means money saved on wages); and in most government-run agencies (the drivers license bureau especially).

Everything costs more these days, but the service is typically lousy as well. If I could get away with it, I'd take care of all my shopping needs online – including groceries – in order to avoid dealing with unhappy and begrudging staff.

Maybe if they were paid a decent wage, global customer service would improve.
