I wish every city in the nation would adopt this as law:

• Suffolk County Considering Pet Abuser Registry

Nothing upsets me more than animal abuse. There is something seriously wrong with anyone who finds it acceptable to hurt animals. As far as I'm concerned, it should be a felony. People who are found guilty of such should do hard time in prison for as long as convicted child abusers do.

No exceptions.

>Postscript 08/24/10: On a related note, here's another example of human idiocy: Woman dumps cat in garbage. Her ass should be thrown into the slammer. Can you imagine the outcry if she had tossed a living baby into the trash?
