Bits of Mish Mash

Each day my leg is getting stronger, with less pain as I attempt to move about. It's hard to fathom that a steel rod, albeit titanium, is what is propelling my leg forward each time I take a step but that's the truth of it.

The only time I take pain pills now is at bedtime. Sometimes laying in bed causes my entire leg to ache no matter how I position myself, so the Oxycodone helps ease the discomfort. I'm hoping not to need even the bedtime dose within a short time, especially since my progress improves with each passing day.

I'm spending my time walking up and down the hall with the walker, attempting the stairs on occasion, and reading, writing and doing work for one of my web design clients.

I'm currently reading Under the Dome by Stephen King, and I have to admit it's one of his best books to date. I'm really enjoying it. It kind of reminds me of The Stand, but the premise so far is entirely different.

Much of my own writing is being done by hand for Mind Sweeper. I think it's safe to say I'm more than 3/4 finished with the story, so I'm happy about that.

I've also put together a web "storyboard" for Collective Obsessions with a "crashing ocean" design, which I hope to debut sometime next month. After I finish Mind Sweeper, I intend to dig into Collective Obsessions and complete the story once and for all. One good thing is that it's more than half finished as well, so aside from editing most of the creative hair-pulling is over with.
