Frosty Holiday

We woke up to a blanket of snow this morning, so barring an unlikely heat wave we will definitely have a white Christmas. I couldn't help but take a few pictures (see below). Kiki was fascinated by the white stuff. She looked out the living room window most of the morning, frequently reaching her paw to the glass as if to try and catch a flake or two.

Our plans for Christmas are to have a quiet day with baked ham and vegetables, with lots of lying about. From past experience, the high point of the day will probably be the sight of the animals "opening" their gifts. That's my favorite time, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm also looking forward to New Year's Eve because the Science Fiction channel is having their annual Twilight Zone marathon. Then my holiday "break" is officially over, sending me into the writing work zone 2007 and beyond.
