And Onto Eight

Late last night - or was it early this morning? - I sent the manuscript for The Twilight to my publisher. The book, which is the seventh part of the Collective Obsessions Saga, presently contains 221 pages with a word count of 88,360.

I'm getting right into the eighth and final part, Megan's Legacy. There's already fifty pages written, so I figure it'll take me about a month or so to finish. I know where I want the story to go and how it will end, it's just a matter of writing it.

I can't believe I'm on the final part of the saga. It's bittersweet in a way. I have other books written, sure, but the Larkin's have been in my head for a long, long time. I have vivid dreams about characters and scenes on occasion, which is a decidedly weird occurrence and has never happened to me before now.

It will be strange to put the characters to bed, so to speak, once and for all.
